Image History
We meet our best friends when we least expect. Dorathy, the bride in this image was a dear friend of mine in the autumn years of her life. She was 88 the year that we met. I have many fond memories of drinking tea and sharing stories, with an old women who possessed a mind that was as sharp as a tack. Accompanied by wit, humor and humbleness that would put most in today's world to shame. These images, her wedding portraits where taken on January 7, 1937. Dorothy passed after a long illness on New Years Eve 2007 at the age of ninety six. While helping the family to gather her things and to put them in order, I found these images tucked under sofa cushions in the den. I was excited to be permitted to restore them, and am equally greatful to have the digital scans in my possession today.
